SYLWIA ŁYCZKO - ZIELONY

"Art has always been in my life. My painting is focused on nature, filtered by personal artistic choice and experience, which gradually moves towards a symbolic and reflective shot. Constant inspiration comes from day to day contact with the old and modern art. The hero is an animal, shown in unusual circumstances. Often entering brutally into the frame, which creates tension, anxiety, lack of comfort. It is a pretext for a broader story about people, sometimes it is only about a single feeling, the state of the soul, while another time about an association with other areas of culture. Painting is a journey in the literal and symbolic sense. At the same time the equivalent of the hero the color, the free flow of paint as well as the stain disciplined within the boundaries of the drawing."

Sylwia Lyczko-Zielony was born in 1973 in Poland. She graduated from Liceum Plastyczne in Czestochowa majoring in ceramics. Then she proceeded to study Art History at Uniwersytet Lodzki. She has been teaching Art History, Art and Knowledge of Culture for many years. She has been involved in art for her whole life; pastel being the medium closest to her. Recently she has picked up acrylic painting.
Another interesting exhibion is a joined exhibion with Anna Kossakowska, which took place in Zamosc in old synagogue. It was titled "Energies of nature". Project called "Galeria Przechodnia" was also brought to life. It's core idea is to present artwork printed onto large panels. Those panels will be exhibited in public spaces in 20 cities across Poland (among others Warsaw, Cracow, Zielona Gora, Nieborow or Kutno).
Her artwork has been a part of many exhibitions, for a example „V Kanal Sztuki” (Fifth Channel of Art) in Kazimierz Dolny and „Swietosc” (Sanctum) in Franciscan Monastery in Kazimierz Dolny. She held her first individual exhibion in Galeria Mala in Piotrkow Trybunalski in December 2014. Next exhibitions were quick to follow. In April 2016 first exhibion abroad opened. It took place in Exhibition Hall of G.V. Chernoskutov in Volzsky, Russia. During the same year she presented her works in Srodmiejski Dom Kultury, Hoza 41 in Warsaw. Year 2017 begun with exhibition in Russia. First in Volzsky in February and later in the year in Volgograd at Exhibition Hall MBU.
She is working with art galleries in Warsaw, Radomsko, Kazimierz Dolny and Piotrkow Trybunalski, as well as some foreign galleries in Tampere (Finland) and Russia. Her art is focusing on nature expressed through personal and individual experiences and choices, rendering the final piece to appear more symbolic and thought provoking. She constantly draws inspiration in classical and modern art.
